Our Philosophy... Farming with a conscience.

Kennebec Flower Farm incorporates farming practices from both conventional and organic systems. The fields and greenhouses are managed using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system.  This holistic system relies on careful monitoring and uses environmentally friendly controls.  Insect pressure in the greenhouse is almost entirely controlled with beneficial insects.  At times, if necessary we use chemical control in the field.  We use conventional potting mixes and fertilizers.  This hybrid system allows us to be sustainable both as land stewards and profitable farmers.
